Our approach

We choose what we build — and who we build with.

More work is not always better work. We prefer a focused number of products and relationships where we understand the problem, trust the opportunity, and can contribute over time.

How we make decisions.

Understand the business first

We start with the problem behind the request. What is the operation trying to accomplish? What is already working? What is making growth or execution harder?

Build around a repeatable problem

Where possible, we use a shared software foundation and improve it rather than creating unrelated systems from scratch.

Stay close to the people using it

Real workflows reveal problems that a presentation cannot. We value conversations with operators, teams, and customers.

Keep incentives clear

We define responsibilities, ownership, scope, maintenance, and commercial terms before starting a partnership.

Two ways to work with Whilker.

Product licensing

For businesses whose needs fit a system we already operate or are preparing to license. We configure the product, support onboarding, and maintain the shared software under an agreed license.

Selective strategic partnerships

For unusual opportunities where product development and business participation may make sense together. These relationships are evaluated case by case and require clear governance and written terms.

We do not offer generic, unlimited custom development. Requests outside our current product areas may not be a fit.

What happens after you reach out?

  1. Tell us about your business.

Share the business model, the problem, and your current tools.

  2. We evaluate fit.

We look for alignment between the challenge and what we can realistically support.

  3. We define the model.

Licensing, configuration, additional development, or a deeper partnership — with clear boundaries.

  4. We move only when it makes sense.

If there is no fit, we will say so.

The right conversation comes before the right build.
